First weekend of using Ableton Live at Mosaic - used a 4in/4out interface to connect a clean mix to the house, and a separate click track to the drummer. I’m now thinking less and less as a keyboard player, and more as a producer… fun times.

Cafe Scientifique runs discussion/lectures at cafes by professors on a wide range of topics dealing with science and the arts. They have a handful of these events in Tauranga this year, and this Monday it’s “New Technologies and Musical Expression” - might be interesting(?)

I’m slightly OCD about my iTunes organization. You can imagine my frustration when a simple Apple Script I used corrupted my iTunes Library, erasing all ratings, play-counts, and playlists. This metadata provided a list of (for example) top-rated selections that have been left unheard for more than 3 months excluding Christmas songs - nothing too complicated, but great for road trips! ...
